The Minnesota State Capitol Building celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2005.This imposing structure’s unsupported 223-foot marble dome is the largest of its kind in the world, and the gilded Quadriga statue at the base of the dome is the visual focal point of the entire building.

This only waterfall on the Mississippi River became the birthplace of the Twin Cities when Father Louis Hennepin first laid eyes on this site in 1680.
